Hardly a day goes by nowadays without Phil Mickelson taking swipes at the critics of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. Earlier this month, Eamon Lynch, a columnist at Golfweek and USA Today Sports, became the subject of the 52-year-old’s scathing remarks. Most recently, Mickelson got engaged in another spat after fellow LIV compatriot Brooks Koepka‘s 5th major win made waves in the golf community.

The golfer had earlier lent his support to Koepka’s swing coach, Claude Harmon III, who called out Golf Channel‘s Brandel Chamblee for his alleged mistreatment of LIV players. After Chamblee responded to the accusations in a 538-word tweet, the LIV pro further got into a war of words with him. But the golf pro’s fans got a slight reprieve on Friday, thanks to his latest social media activity.

Brandel Chamblee blocks Phil Mickelson on Twitter

Brandel Chamblee, a former pro-golfer and a famed analyst, has always been one of the most outspoken critics of LIV. Last Sunday, his feelings about the league came to light once again. Appearing in the Golf Channel’s “Live From” broadcast, Chamblee disagreed with fellow panelist Brad Faxon over whether 2023 PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka should be a part of Team USA for the upcoming Ryder Cup tournament.

His aversion to Koepka’s possible inclusion also drew the ire of the golfer’s coach, Claude Harmon III. The renowned swing coach even ended up calling Chamblee a “paid actor”! Things got further heated when Phil Mickelson also entered the conversation. After both Mickelson and Chamblee exchanged harsh insults, the entire fiasco seemingly ended, with the 60-year-old even extending the golfer an invite to his live show.

However, the LIV defector soon found out that the golf analyst had blocked him on the Bird app! Even PGA Tour veteran Jason Dufner chimed in, welcoming him to the “blocekdbybrandel” club. Now, golf fans eagerly look forward to seeing if things will take a turn for the worse down the road!
