In a presser after the third round at TPC Southwind, Homa said, “Man, we’re very lucky that St. Jude does what they do. Nobody should have to go through cancer… What they do for those families is special. I’m very proud to say that they are aligned with a golf tournament that we play… More and more awareness of what St. Jude does is important, and it’s been a treat to get to meet some of those people and some of those kids.” He elucidates the fact that St. Jude has made a huge contribution to these families with cancer patients and that Homa takes pride in being associated with a tournament that carries this benevolent person’s name with it. He even reflected on the fact that Homa wants more awareness about the deeds of St. Jude.

I’ve had a pair designed specifically before by my buddy Calvin…with all our favorite foods and sports and numbers, and whatnot. These have his name on it… that little kind of team up and make us and them feel like we’re kind of part of a team for the week.” FootJoy and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital teamed up in 2019. And these kids especially design golf shoes, which have their names on them. Calvin designed Homa’s shoes with his name imprinted on them.
