Phil and Amy Mickelson, nee McBride, tied the knot in 1996 and have been going strong ever since. Tragically, in 2009, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her loving husband Phil backed out of his upcoming events and put his season on hold in order to care for her. Luckily, after 11 months of treatment, she beat the disease and has since been healthy.

Amy and Phil have 3 children- Amanda Brynn, Evan Samuel and Sophia Isabel. Amanda, the oldest, was born in 1999, a couple of days after Mickelson finished runners up in the US Open. The 22-year-old is currently studying at Brown University.

When Amanda graduated high school in 2017, proud father Phil went down to California to attend the ceremony, even though the date was coinciding with his US Open tournament.
