During an interview with Graham Bensinger, Annika Sörenstam talked about the details of her pre-mature delivery of her son, William McGee. She detailed how things went down, as well as the reaction of her husband.

She was asked about the birth of her second kid in 2011. Sorenstam talked about how it went. Sorenstam made comments about how they realized it was time and how it freaked out both her and her husband, Mike McGee.

She said, “The first 26 weeks of the pregnancy were normal…It was like my white sheets were just red and so I freaked out. I was like calm down we need to have a plan… remember running in and then he came out 16 hours later. He was so so small. He was 2 pounds and 12 ounces, I’ve never seen anything like it.”, according to an interview with Graham Bensinger.

The professional golfer talked about how William was so small he hadn’t even completely developed. The couple did not even have a name for the child by then. Annika talked about how he was not like anything she had ever seen.

The LPGA fame once shared her happiness for having her son, William McGee, with her when she won at the 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Open. This was her historic comeback to the sport.

Her son, William, was there to witness this milestone his mother had achieved. Having been there with his mother through her ups and downs so far, the 11-year-old teared up.
These tears of happiness also made Annika emotional. She expressed her joy and happiness on the occasion. Even the professional golfer got sentimental post this instance.
