The public verdict is out. Yes, you read that right! The public has finally ruled in favor of Anthony Kim when put against the PGA Tour. The newly re-ignited affair of the golf world with its long-lost star seems to be a strong one. Despite the once-PGA Tour sensation’s decision to join hands with LIV Golf, his stardom is such that the fans just seem to want to see him play, no matter what his affiliation status might be.

This claim is backed by facts. It has recently been revealed that Anthony Kim’s comeback at LIV Golf Jeddah has received exponentially higher fan views in comparison to the Cognizant Classic, which features the likes of Rory McIlroy. Both of these events occurred over the weekend.

While Anthony Kim’s performance on the first day after post-prolonged hiatus received a total of “2 million viewers” on Caffeine TV and “208k [views] on YouTube.” Whereas, the star studded field at the 2024 Cognizant Classic “pulled 264,000 on Golf Channel,” on its opening day. The numbers are “down 23% from last year, when the tournament took place a week earlier on the calendar (342K).”

This makes Anthony Kim’s addition to the roster an even more smart decision on the part of the breakaway league. One of the most risky gambles on onboarding golfers on its roster is already fetching the conglomerate millions of views.

This is a big achievement on LIV Golf’s end, after it added Caffeine as its broadcasting partner for Friday rounds. The league previously suffered the wrath of public opinion and, despite efforts, couldn’t garner views as high as the PGA Tour, and was losing revenue too. However, the 38-year-old’s addition seems to be working amicably in its favor. But what is the new LIV Golf star’s next move?

Where will Anthony Kim be spotted next?
