15-time Major Champion Tiger Woods is probably one of the most prominent faces in the sport of golf. He is regarded as probably the greatest professional, along with the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Woods and Arnold Palmer had a strong yet special bond with each other.

In the piece in TIME from 2016, per the words of Arnold Palmer, “Jack Nicklaus and I played a Masters practice round with Tiger in 1996; that’s when Jack made his famous declaration that he had just played with a kid who was going to win more Masters than him and me combined (10).”

It is quite incredible how Nicklaus predicted such an amazing thing after meeting Tiger once. And furthermore, it’s quite amazing how Woods was able to keep up with the prophecy and win several green jackets as well as, other major championships.
