Collin Morikawa grabs his first win in 27 months

Collin Morikawa came out of a slump that lasted 27 months by winning the ZOZO Championship in Japan. With 14-under 266, he had a bogey-free 4th round. His last triumph was in 2021 at the DP World Tour Championship. This was his 6th PGA Tour title, and he had won two majors.

Winning the event was special as Japan is home to his paternal grandparents and his wife was present in the gallery supporting him. Morikawa appreciated her being there and said, “It’s been a long time since she’s actually been at the tournament since we won, so it’s nice to have her here.”

Morikawa stands 20th in the Official World Golf Ranking and his best was when he ranked 2nd. Morikawa will be attempting to reach his career’s best once again and fans are excited.
