Tiger Woods’ response to John Daly using a golf cart

Woods has seen a lot in his life including personal and professional losses. And one of these hardships has been his injuries during tournaments as well as away from the field. Daly said that he had a bad knee and hence needed to use a golf cart during the 2019 PGA Championship. He stated“I hope I don’t get a lot of grief from the fans…My knee is screwed. I had the meniscus cut out… I can walk up a hill, I just can’t walk down one.”. But before his fans could even react to the news, Woods had something to say about Daly and his condition.

In a press conference before the tournament, Woods was asked about Daly using the golf cart. And his short response was enough to show how strong he was in comparison to Daly. With a smirk on his face, he said“As far as JD taking a cart, well…I walked with a broken leg.” The reporters cheered and laughed after Woods’ mic-dropping statement. However, little did he know that he would need a cart too in the near future.

Despite indirectly making fun of John Daly, Woods was in no condition to walk 18 holes at the 2022 JP McManus Pro-Am. The golfer was seen using a cart to move through holes due to his unhealed injuries from the unfortunate car crash in 2021. “I’m doing that here only because I don’t need to push it right now,” Woods said“I still prefer riding in a cart,”.
