After his epic win at the Adelaide event, Gooch opened up about why he liked the LIV Golf Tour more than the American League. Apparently, his decision to join the Saudi-funded circuit had nothing to do with the lucrative money deals. Rather, the golf star claimed to be a fan of LIV’s team concept.

“I love team sports…having a locker room feel,” he said. “I love having guys you can kind of talk a little c**p to and that give each other a hard time but also push each other and just help grow as individuals and as a team,”.
