LIV’s Tulsa event is currently underway at the city’s Cedar Ridge Country Club. From Dustin Johnson to Cam Smith to Bubba Watson, some of the biggest names from the Saudi-backed league are headlining the field at the tournament this year.

Watson, who is also the captain of RangeGoats GC, is one of the favorites to claim the title this time around. So, what does the 44-year-old think of his fellow LIV compatriots and their teams? Let’s find out!

Since his move to LIV, Bubba Watson has observed moderate success in Greg Norman’s league, both on individual and team levels. Watson-led RangeGoats GC, which also includes Talor Gooch, Thomas Pieters, and Harold Varner III, even emerged as the winner of the team competition in LIV’s last event in Singapore.

The foursome’s amazing camaraderie on the greens has caught the attention of golf fans at large. In fact, they have also started to extend the constant ribbing toward other teams in the league. “We forget sometimes that golfers are just entertainers,” shared the 2-time major winner in a press conference after round 2 of LIV Tulsa.

Watson also shared that golf was “the last thing” he was worried about at the moment. “I’ve got a beautiful wife I’m trying to make happy, and I’ve got two kids I’m trying to guide the right direction, and then I’ve got three other kids I’m trying to guide in the right direction on the Goats,” expressed the golfer.

He further went on to say that all the ribbing was “in jest.” But which LIV pro is Watson looking forward to beating the most? It is none other than the 29-year-old LIV golfer and captain of Crushers GC, Bryson DeChambeau. “It’s not serious, the jokes and stuff. As long as I beat Bryson, that’s all I care about,” shared Watson.

Per Watson, Dustin Johnson-led 4Aces GC is also the team to beat this year. They had won the team championship last year, bagging an incredible $16,000,000 in earnings, and are on a hot streak this year as well.

Talor Gooch had won LIV’s last two events in Australia and Singapore, becoming the first player in the Saudi-funded league to do so. A $5,000,000 prize purse is also reserved for the team event, with $3,000,000 going to the winning team. Meanwhile, the runner-up will walk away with $1,500,000.
