A lot of waves have occurred in the golf world owing to LIV Golf. Moreover, it has been especially so owing to Jon Rahm’s defection and the subsequent rumors surrounding Tony Finau following him. However, putting an end to all the unnecessary talks, the golfer himself came forward a couple of times to express his plans to stay on the PGA Tour.

Besides, the professional is now gearing himself up for another season on the men’s circuit in 2024. But as he gets ready, curiosity naturally arises regarding the pro and his upcoming appearances – which tournaments are his fans most likely to be able to catch him playing during the upcoming year?

A lot of talks made its way into the golfing world about the American’s possible defection owing to the Spaniard’s LIV jump, followed by rumors of a massive deal by the league. However, the 34-year-old dispelled the speculations, all the while teasing his fans for an amazing year in 2024 through an Instagram post, captioned “#imnotleaving”. And, here are the top five events one would be able to watch him display his skills.

1. Mexican Open at Vidanta: The defending champion of the event, the pro emerged victorious at the 2023 edition through his excellent skills. Moreover, Finau was able to come out on top in the same by registering a score of 24-under 260, three strokes ahead of Rahm. And, the golfer himself has confirmed his appearance in Mexico to defend his title through an Instagram post.

2. TOUR Championship: The 6X PGA Tour champ was able to reach the season finale of the men’s circuit for the seventh time in his career. Moreover, he became eligible by cementing his spot on the top 30 of the FedEx Cup standings, or more specifically at T20. Although the pro finished in the same position during the event and was unable to win the same, he would be looking forward to making an appearance again at the 2024 TOUR Championship by finishing inside the top 30 of the rankings.

3. The Sentry Tournament of Champions: Finishing T7 at 271 (-21) during the first event of the 2023 PGA Tour season would have been nothing short of a confidence booster for the golfer. And, he would look to replicate the same or even better in the coming year as divulged in his Instagram post when he said, “See y’all in Maui!”

4. Texas Children’s Houston Open: The 2023 edition of the tournament saw Finau emerging victorious in November of 2022 when the event took place. Scoring a 16-under 264 to beat the likes of Tyson Alexander, the athlete was able to clinch the victory and a cut of $1,512,000 from the prize purse of $8.4 million. And, in the uploaded post, the pro himself mentioned how “stoked” he is to be defending in both Mexico and Houston” referring to the Mexican Open and the Texas Children’s Houston Open, respectively. Exciting, isn’t it?

5. 3M Open: The next best finish after the two wins in Mexico and Houston, Finau finished at T7 in the 3M Open with a score of 15-under 269. What’s more, he would be looking to place better in the upcoming season as the American looks to play his 10th season on the PGA Tour.

Well, he did put a stop to all the rumors surrounding the defection while planning for a year ahead. And, the golfer’s fans would be hoping to see more of the American on the course apart from these five events as well.
