Golf is not seen as a sport just for the elderly or the young. People of all age groups enjoy it. And why not? The clear greens, pristine fairways, and riverside golf courses are a sight to behold! Perhaps the beauty of the course is enough to attract non-humans as well.
A new member recently visited the golf course. And the golf world, as always, had hilarious reactions to it. In a terrifying yet amusing update, a golfer was attacked on an unnamed course. And the audience on Twitter cannot stop talking about it!

The hilarious yet surprising side of birdies in the sport
Fore Play podcast, just hours ago, shared a video on Twitter (X) of a Georgia man on an unnamed golf course being attacked by a swan! Just after he putted the ball, the crystal white jumped on him and started pecking him. The man in response tried to jerk it off of him, but he had to resort to a more serious way of getting away.
In the next shot, you can see him running in a circle on the course, trying to get away from the bird. He can be heard saying “Ow”, and shouting, “Fu***ng swan.” His friends stood away from the fairway and laughed, looking at Gramps struggling. However, once he got out of the space, the bird stood there.
Barstool Sports posted the video on X and, capitalizing on the ironic and pun-filled situation, hilariously wrote, “Gramps got a birdie and then was attacked by a birdie!“

TMZ Sports learned the man might be called John Walters. They further found that the bird might be a resident of the pond near the 9th hole who was also very protective of its greens and fairways. A bird protecting its habitat is understandable, right? Well, not as much for the golf fans, who had nothing but puns on their mind!
Golf world has hilarious reactions to the amusing bird attack
Jokes apart, we certainly hope that Gramps was not hurt in the incident. And gleaning from his friends’ loud laughter and hilarious reactions when they witnessed him struggling and trying to get away, it may be safe to assume that it wasn’t too serious! Unsurprisingly, his friends are the only ones with humor to dish out. Online too, fans flocked to the video, with lots of birdie jokes to squawk about!
One fan reacted to the video rather dramatically.
He ran for dear life!

Another called the swan a ‘loser’, maybe because it ran the man off of the course.
That swan is such a sore loser

There was one more fan who appreciated Gramps dedication on the course.
I can’t even make a putt from that distance without getting attacked by a bird.
Shoutout to Gramps 💯 that bird is a savage!

Can we eat swans? Because one seemingly hungry fan just wrote, “Dinner.”
