He went on to elaborate on his short but unbending response. “Because I do. I’m playing well. I feel like consistency-wise, I’ve been as good as I have been ever in my career,” McIlroy said. He further weighed in on becoming a “well-rounded player” with no visible weaknesses.
“If you just look at my statistical categories, there’s no real glaring weaknesses there. I’ve worked really hard on that, to try to become a more well-rounded player,” he said.

The 33-year-old also expressed his delight in his consistency since the 2021 Ryder Cup held in Whistling Straits. “I think the results speak for themselves, as well, over not just the past six months but really the past 18 months post-Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, I feel like I’ve been on a really good run of form since then.”
Rory McIlroy also explained the "flexibility" in his TaylorMade contract 👀.

The 2021 edition of the inter-continental tournament turned out to be a sore one for McIlroy and co, as his Team Europe went down without a fight, losing 19-9. He’ll be hoping to make a quick turnaround when the tournament comes up at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Italy later this year.
Will Rory McIlroy reign supreme at the WM Phoenix Open?
The Northern Irishman made his first and last appearance at the WM Phoenix Open in 2021, where he secured a respectable T13 finish. Many have considered the TPC Scottsdale to be one of the best courses around which suits McIlroy’s game.
With some form behind, a confident McIlroy would instill fear in the opposition golfers. Do you think he’ll lift the Phoenix Open title on Sunday? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
