Jordan Spieth was among the big names playing at the 2022 PGA Championship last week. He played good golf through four rounds, and he hit a few crisp irons shots. However, Spieth could not capitalize on it and win the tournament. Recently, he spoke about the same and reflected on what was lacking in his golf game.

The three-time major championship winner spoke about his recent performance in the latest of the famous podcast, namely Beyond the Clubhouse. Jordan reflected on his performance at the second major championship of the year at the tough and demanding Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa.

The host of the successful podcast played a clip from one of Jordan’s interviews, in which Spieth talked about what went wrong in his game at the 2022 PGA Championship. Not to forget, the American professional is already a winner in the 2022 season.

He won the 2022 RBC Heritage and had great momentum entering the major championship event. The 28-year-old talked about how his putting was good this week; he missed some putts early on, but overall it was good. However, it was his golf swing that did not allow him to win at the event and complete the career grand slam.

Spieth said, “Actually, it was the best I’ve stroked it this year and it just didn’t show on the greens. I had the really tricked out on some of these pins and I got on the wrong side of kind of guessing some of the double breakers wrong early and you know putted it really well today. I thought I hit good putts.”

He added, “But to me, I just got really off with the swing from last week Sunday to Monday I came up Monday and it clipped up for me it was very odd well I mean it was wow I just I couldn’t find any positions the whole week I ended up kind of making it work but yeah a bit frustrating you know coming in with momentum to you know, a tournament that I really wanted to win.”

What did Spieth shoot in the final round on Sunday?

The American professional finished the second major championship event of the year with a solid final round. He carded a final round of one-under-par, 69 to finish in tied 34th position on the leaderboard. Spieth ended the event with an overall score of four over par. As a result, he finished inside the top 40 at the event.

Jordan’s final round of 69 included two birdies and two bogeys on the opening nine holes; he moved out in level-par, 35. Spieth made one birdie and eight pars on the back nine to wrap his final round.
