Thunderstorm spots at the Castle Pines
According to Accu Weather’s forecast, on August 22, “Clouds and breaks of the sun with a thunderstorm in spots in the afternoon”. The temperature is predicted to go as high as 28 degrees and as low as 13 degrees, with a Maximum UV Index of 5, which is pretty moderate. But what worries the players is the 43% chance of rain, and well, 26% chance of thunderstorms, with a density of 2.4 mm. This might render an interruption in the game.
To add to the woes, wind gusts will be blowing at a speed of 20 kmph, with winds coming from the NNW at 15 kmph. The cloud cover will be 86%, making it immensely difficult to see the course while hitting shots. Unless the weather gods decide to change their mood on Thursday, there is a high probability of delays or even suspension of the round.
