The 2024 BMW PGA Championship is set to kick off in just a few hours. The DP World Tour’s flagship event is scheduled to take place from September 19 to September 22 at the Wentworth Golf Club. The tournament has a purse of a whopping $9 million and will feature some of the best players on the DP World Tour.

Rory McIlroy, who is on top of the Tour standings, will be entering the field after losing the trophy at the Amgen Irish Open last weekend by just one stroke. Along with him, players like Aaron Rai, Tommy Fleetwood, and Billy Horschel will also compete.
Who will Rory McIlroy tee up with on Thursday?
The opening round of the BMW PGA Championship is scheduled to begin at 7:00 am ET on Thursday. The field will be opened by Calum Hill, Matthew Jordan, and Ockie Strydom. Rory McIlroy is set to tee off at 8:45 am ET, as the eleventh group, along with Justin Rose and Ryan Fox. Each pairing has three players and will be given approximately ten minutes to finish their rounds.
If everything goes as per schedule, the round will close with the final group teeing off at 2:05 pm ET. Here’s what the field will look like on the opening day:
