Koepka was asked a few questions earlier about the LIV Golf Series, where he tried to avoid any answers regarding the matter in an interview during the U.S. Open. He said“I don’t understand. I’m trying to focus on the U.S. Open, man. I legitimately don’t get it. I’m tired of the conversations.” The golfer also added, “I don’t know why you guys keep doing that. The more legs you give it, the more you keep talking about it. Y’all are throwing a black cloud over the US Open, and I think that sucks.”

It is clear that Koepka’s decision to betray the PGA Tour will result in the suspension of his membership from the Tour. The same was done with Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson, who were in hope that the PGA Tour will let them play the majors. But as per the statement given by Jay Monahan, commissioner of the PGA Tour, memberships along with all benefits related to the PGA Tour are to be taken away from any player who betrays the Tour.

The golfer has now become the latest to join the Saudi-backed series following the footsteps of Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, and Bryson DeChambeau. Moreover, it is now hard to say if this is the last name to ditch the PGA Tour and join the rival league covertly. What are your views about the golfer’s shocking decision?
