Golf fans are no strangers to on-course drama. Harman’s frustration had a context. He struggled early in the third round, making a bogey on the first tee despite hitting three provisional balls. He improved later with multiple birdies, though the final round was difficult with a double bogey on the first hole, slipping him down the leaderboard. All this led to frustration and an outburst, considering his short temper.
For instance, during the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge, Harman threw his golf club in frustration after missing a par putt. He even ended up hurting himself. Something similar happened back at The Open Championship 2023, too. However, this time, it was an interaction with a fan. During the third round, Harman was heckled by some fans. In the end, he had to point out a fan to security to escort him out of the course.

Regardless of the reason, this didn’t stop fans from sharing their opinions on the matter.
Fans slam Biran Harman for his frustration
Once the video surfaced online, fans wasted no time weighing in. One remarked, “Harman is unbearable,” highlighting how his repeated emotional outbursts have begun to wear on viewers who expect composure from tour pros. Harman’s intensity has long divided opinion. Some appreciate his competitive fire, while others see it as unnecessary drama. However, since it has become a common scenario in many tournaments, fans have especially disliked such visible frustration from the golfer. Echoing similar feelings, another fan joked, “He’s an angry elf.” This was a jab at his small stature combined with intense bursts of frustration.
Some fans even drew comparisons to his earlier tantrums. One of them wrote, “Aye, this is Hadeki’s move. Get your own move waggle boy.” He has been called a waggle boy based on a video shared by NBC. The American golfer has a habit of waggling multiple times before taking a shot. He says that he developed the habit to manage his on-course anxiety. However, NBC once published this video, and fans started criticizing him and gave him the name.

The reactions ranged from humorous exaggeration to personal relatability. One fan admitted, “This is what I feel like doing when I watch him play,” capturing the mix of empathy and schadenfreude many viewers experience. Another comment, dripping with hyperbole, read, “I hate Harman more than my neighbor’s deaf three-legged labradoodle Tonya,” underscoring just how polarizing the outburst appeared to some fans.
Harman’s visible frustration may have earned him another round of online criticism. Whether the moment hurts his image or simply fuels his determination, golf fans will watch his next move just as closely.
