Brooks Koepka was one of the first few players to join LIV Golf. The American professional golfer signed an alleged $100 million contract with the Saudi-backed league. He also won $4.7 million for his recent victory at the LIV Golf Jeddah event. However, the golfer won’t be keeping the all of the money since he has a costly bet to settle!

Where will Brooks Koepka spend his recent LIV Golf winnings?
The golf star recently defeated Peter Uihlein in a playoff during LIV Golf’s Jeddah event on Sunday. Koepka and Uihlein finished the 54 holes with a score of 12 under. It was an interesting matchup between the world’s top players, and in the end, it was Koepka who prevailed. He earned a whopping amount of $4.7 million from the tournament.

However, in his press conference after the game, he told the reporters where he was going to spend his winning amount from the tournament. And surprisingly, it was not for himself. The two-time major champion said, “I told my brother I’d buy him a Lambo if we won the team thing…I’ve got to go buy one.” And after sealing the victory playing alongside Peter Uihlein, Koepka is now bound to get a new Ferrari for his brother, Chase Koepka.
Talking about the victory, Koepka said that winning the prize money was secondary to him. According to his statements, winning the tournament for his team was the bigger achievement. “The big thing today was getting the team win,” he said. Jokingly, Chase said that his car was going to be “Lime green”. And Brooks Koepka agreed to it publicly and said that he was going to buy his brother a new car soon.

Koepka got emotional after his recent LIV Golf victory
Koepka used to be one of the most confident players when it came to believing in his golf skills. However, his recent thoughts about his career have been different. And during an interview after his beautiful win at LIV Golf Jeddah, Koepka expressed how he started to feel about his career.

“The last two years have… They haven’t been fun.” Koepka said. “I didn’t know if my career was over for a half-second…So it’s nice to be able to come back and be able to win.” Fans are happy to see their favorite player take home the trophy for the LIV Golf Jeddah event. After getting past multiple injuries and surgeries, the golfer finally got the respect he deserved on the Saudi circuit.
