For Brooks Koepka, the game has its highs and lows. Finishing tied for 15th at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship marked his second close disappointment after a narrow miss at the Open de France in September 2025. But this week, the real highlight wasn’t on the scorecard; it was the chance to make memories with his little boy.

Koepka used the moment to share what matters most to him, quality time with his young son, Crew. The LIV Golf star shared an Instagram post featuring him and his son. “A week I’ll cherish forever with my Crew 🙏 thank you @dunhilllinks,” read the caption. The post includes 10 photos, of which 5 feature the father and son duo enjoying themselves on the field.

This emotional message comes after his second setback in a short time. The 9x PGA Tour winner was playing the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this week. He tied for 15th place with a total score of 10 under par. He was 8 shots behind the Ryder Cup star Robert MacIntyre, who won the tournament despite difficult weather affecting the play.
A few weeks prior, Koepka was in Paris competing in the Open de France. While it was 8 shots at the Alfred Dunhill Links, Brooks Koepka was only 2 shots behind at the FedEx Open de Drance. Michael Kim won with 16 under, while the LIV Golf star was 14 under par with 69-68-65-68 to complete at 270.

The official Alfred Dunkhill Links Instagram handle also shared a video, where Brooks, with wife Jena Sims, is seen sharing a similar heartfelt message. He can be seen saying, “It’s my favorite place in the whole wide world, and I get to be here with my favorite people. My son, Crew, has hit a putt here; he’s hit a putt at Augusta. The whole thing is, I don’t know, it’s surreal.”

The caption for the video shared by Alfred Dunhill Links captures the very essence of these moments. It reads, “Golf matters. But family matters more. Brooks and Jena share how little Crew has changed their world at the #DunhillLinks.”
This father-son time holds a lot more significance for Koepka after the struggles both parents and their son faced during his birth. Crew arrived on July 27, 2023, seven weeks before his due date. He stayed in the NICU for a very long time because of premature birth and other conditions, including flathead syndrome and wryneck syndrome.
In October 2024, Jena Sims shared a heartwarming update through an Instagram post captioned, “We’re still in it, but we’re near the end.” To see Koepka sharing carefree moments with Crew on the greens shows why these memories mean more to him than any finish on the leaderboard.
This is not the first time fans have seen Crew on the golf course. He has featured twice at Augusta National in cute caddie suits for the traditional Par 3 contest.
Brooks Koepka and Crew at Augusta National
While Koepka shared an emotional message with his son Crew in Scotland, their bond has already created some memorable moments at the Masters Par 3 contest.
Crew first came to the contest in 2024, when his father helped him make a world-class debut at the age of just 1. After introducing him to the world, the golfer had Crew help him finish hole No. 9. The 7x DP World Tour winner placed a small putter in Crew’s hand and held him between his hands. A little nudge and the ball went in the hole.

In 2025, it was even better as Brooks had hit an ace. After making an ace on the 6th hole, Koepka celebrated in a way that created the Master’s Par 3’s most unforgettable moment. Instead of a fist pump or a roar, he lifted Crew into the air. He later summed it up on Instagram with a post captioned, “An ace at Augusta. A lifetime memory with my Crew. That’s a forever kind of day.”
These are very special moments for Koepka, regardless of the leaderboard or the venue. Whether it’s St. Andrews or Augusta, the joy of sharing the game with his son ensures that every swing carries.
