Beautiful long drives in the sport of golf always leave the fans in awe. And not many can hit it better than Bryson DeChambeau currently. The golfer has one of the strongest forearms in professional golf and even competed at the Long Drive World Championship. But is hitting long bombs attractive? DeChambeau once agreed with his fellow LIV star, Phil Mickelson, on the statement.

In golfing terms, bombs refer to hitting it as far as you can, with little to worry about the accuracy. Bryson DeChambeau is familiar with the term, as he smashed a huge 417-yard bomb at the Long Drive World Championship recently.

Nonetheless, DeChambeau competed against Mickelson during the fourth edition of ‘The Match’ last year, while teaming up with NFL star Aaron Rodgers. Meanwhile, Lefty teamed up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneer quarterback, Tom Brady. Despite being competitors, both golfers came to a consensus on the “Bomb” topic.

As ‘The Match’ proceeded, it comprised entertainment-filled trash talk. All four athletes were mic’d up during the whole event, giving the fans more amusement apart from competitive golf. As DeChambeau was moving to another hole in the golf cart, Mickelson asked the 29-year-old, “Do you feel that hitting bombs like that is attractive?”, since DeChambeau was hitting them several times during the event.

Phil further added, “Makes you feel physically more attractive”, to which the Scientist replied, “Oh very, it’s hot”. Mickelson then adds by saying, “Yeah, same. I totally get it”. Apart from its attractive trait, the DeChambeau Bombs also helped them in winning “The Match IV”.

The team of Rodgers and DeChambeau convincingly defeated the team of Mickelson and Brady, with a score of 3&2. This marked a second consecutive loss for the team of Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady. DeChambeau’s long drives did make a key impact on the game, including the 480-yard drive on the 777-yard par-5 eight.

He helped Rodgers make the birdie after putting the ball on the greens. “I was glad I was able to get my partner up on the greens, and he was making everything today,” said ‘the Scientist.’ Still, only 29 years of age,  DeChambeau’s long drives will only become much better and longer from here on.
