Why did Bryson DeChambeau let Thompson use his caddie?

Bryson DeChambeau claimed the victory at U.S. Open in 2020, but his caddie, Tim Tucker had the opportunity to win two U.S. Open, how you may wonder. It was because the caddie of Bryson was going to be on the bag of LPGA star, Lexi Thompson. For the U.S. Women’s Open, the LIV defector let her long-time friend borrow his caddie as hers was occupied with another job.

Not many fans might know, but former PGA golfer and the LPGA star have the same agent, Brett Falkoff. Therefore, they also had the same management team taking care of everything. Since Bryson won U.S. Open in September 2020 with Tucker in the bag, it was evident that Thompson had the same caddie with her. However, Thompson wanted to repeat Bryson’s win and had Tucker as a caddie on her bag for U.S. Women’s Open in 2020 at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas.

Thompson was in the market, looking for a full-time caddie, when her former caddie Benji Thompson went to work with Kevin Chappell, the PGA golfer, in September 2020. However, it saved her after having Tucker on the bag. Even though she could not win the championship, they still appreciated her performance with Tucker on the bag.

Lexi Thompson had an unexpected caddie on her bag once during Pelican Women’s Championship. It was her brother, Curtis Thompson. He was also a professional golfer. Not to mention, Curtis was also the Korn Ferry Tour winner in 2020. Later, he caddied for his sister in Belleair, Florida, U.S. Since his events ended for the year; therefore, he was caddying for his sister.
