It’s not a secret that the 1-time major winner, Bryson DeChambeau, loves to study. And the golfer has proven that he is not shy to share his knowledge with others in need.

“Just study hard,” DeChambeau said after revealing that he got a thirty on the ACT. If you don’t know, any composite score around 24 is what one would need to get into a good college. Notably, even after scoring a thirty, the golfer did not seem happy with his results. 

“The things you gotta do, you gotta do a lot of memorization,” he added. DeChambeau also explained that it is important to know which answers are wrong rather than which one is right.

DeChambeau is known for implementing science in golf and there’s where he gets the infamous nickname ‘The Mad Scientist’ from. He is also known for memorizing the most technical golf instruction book, The Golf Machine, written by Home Kelly, by the time he was 16

However, what’s more interesting is that he took Physics as his major in college to improve his golf. “Initially, it was because of golf,” the golfer explained how he developed an interest in science. “I loved understanding and figuring out how the golf ball moves through the air, how the dynamic of the golf swing works, and how all the different types of motions contribute to the golf swing,” he added. 

Notably, he attended the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he learned golf deeply with the help of science.

DeChambeau’s career highlights 

Bryson DeChambeau is passionate about nothing but perfection. He enjoys doing things his way.

The golfer is one of the only five players to win the US Amateur and men’s NCAA Divison 1 Championship in the same year. The others include the veteran golfer Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, and Ryan Moore.

The 28-year-old has won 10 championship titles worldwide, including a major. He has also represented his country at the Presidents Cup, Ryder Cup, Arnold Palmer Cup, Eisenhower Trophy, and the Walker Cup. Notably, DeChambeau is one of the PGA Tour players who signed up with LIV Golf to play in its Invitational Series.
