This innovative move marked a first for a major golf tournament, seen as a game-changer for the sport. The platform aims to accelerate the world’s transition to cryptocurrency; with this partnership marking a major step in that direction, their CEO, Kris Marzalek, also emphasized the importance of innovation and pushing boundaries.

As per the latest tweet by SBJ’s Josh Carpenter, more details have emerged on golf’s ‘Crypto.com Showdown’ that takes place next month in Las Vegas, including the event’s TV booth makeup on TNT. Expected to feature a star-studded commentary team, the list includes David Feherty, Trevor Immelman, Bubba Watson, Charles Barkley, and Ernie Johnson, who will provide live coverage of the highly anticipated matchup between LIV players and PGA Tour stars. Notably, the commentary team has a similar makeup to the recent edition of ‘The Match’ series with the addition of Feherty, a longtime CBS and NBC golf announcer who joined LIV Golf in 2022.
