Bryson DeChambeau Suffers First Financial Setback After Ditching PGA Tour for LIV Golf

The LIV Golf Invitational Series is taking the golfing world by storm. The controversial tournament’s first event started on Thursday at the Centurion Club. Moreover, looking at the successful start and the amount of paycheck a golfer is receiving for just showing up is crazy. Hence, there are still a few big names who are reportedly joining the league, like Bryson DeChambeau.
However, soon after these reports came out, DeChambeau faced a massive setback. The golfers’ prominent sponsor, Rocket Mortgage, has ended their sponsorship deal with him. Moreover, the reason behind this split is DeChambeau reportedly joining the LIV Golf Invitational Series.

According to reports, Bryson DeChambeau will join the golfers like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, and others. He will even face suspension from the PGA Tour as they published the consequences for joining the rival league.
Previously, Phil Mickelson lost all his sponsors, including Callaway, KPMG, and Workday. Furthermore, RBC ended its relationship with Dustin Johnson as he joined the Saudi-backed league. Therefore, DeChambeau now has lost Rocket Mortage as his sponsor, as the reports of him joining the rival league emerged.

Meanwhile, Bryson nor LIV Golf have officially confirmed or committed his participation in the events yet. However, everyone is expecting an announcement regarding this soon.
When will Bryson DeChambeau join the LIV Golf Invitational?
As mentioned above, Bryson DeChambeau has not officially confirmed that he is joining the LIV Golf. However, reports suggest that we will most probably see him competing in the second event of the LIV Golf series. Meanwhile, they will play the second event of the series in Portland beginning June 30.

Moreover, the LIV Golf Invitational got off to a successful start on Thursday. There was a mixed reaction on social media, which is understandable. However, the PGA Tour published a statement soon after the event began. They informed everyone that all the golfers competing in the LIV Golf Invitational will face suspension from the PGA Tour.

However, the USGA has allowed all the LIV Golfers to compete in the upcoming U.S. Open. They released a statement a few days ago to inform this decision. Meanwhile, the other major governing bodies, R&A, Masters, and PGA of America, haven’t published any statements regarding this issue.
