Man of the people, that’s right. This is what people have been calling Bryson DeChambeau ever since his wholesome reaction with one of his fans, which by the way, he would never have had the opportunity to do if he was still on the PGA Tour. The golfer’s recent departure from the PGA Tour has given him the freedom to create content and engage with fans in ways that were previously restricted. And judging by the outpouring of praise and admiration from fans, it’s clear that DeChambeau is making the most of this freedom.

So, what exactly happened? Well, DeChambeau invited a fan named Jimmy Elliott to his house for a hole-in-one challenge, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. Elliott was treated like royalty, getting to see DeChambeau’s US Open trophy and a letter from Augusta inviting him to the Masters. “He made me feel like a million bucks the entire day,” Elliott revealed in the latest Golf Channel video on YouTube. They spent the day playing horse, throwing a Frisbee, and even having lunch together. It’s clear that DeChambeau went out of his way to make Elliott feel special, and it’s that kind of hospitality that’s earning him so much praise.

For Elliott, this experience was especially meaningful given his own personal struggles with testicular cancer. As he reflected, “You never expect things like this to happen to you, uh, and so just being able to take advantage of that opportunity… it was just so neat.” Moreover, Elliott appreciated the opportunity to put his past struggles behind him, saying, “It puts things in perspective a little bit, uh, and but it’s, it was just a phenomenal day.” It’s clear that DeChambeau’s kindness is a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Bryson DeChambeau’s wholesome fan encounter reminds us of the time when PGA Tour players were, well, let’s just say, not kind towards the fans.

Zack Johnson lost his temper at the 2024 Masters

Zach Johnson had a rough day at the Masters, and his frustrations boiled over in a way that didn’t sit well with golf influencer Paige Spiranac. After a disastrous triple-bogey on the 12th hole, Johnson was caught dropping the F-bomb while playing. Spiranac called him out for his behavior and said, “The patrons at Augusta are unbelievably supportive and mild-mannered. You can’t find a more pleasant environment to play golf in. The fact ZJ said this proves he’s softer than baby p**p. Such a bad look.”

She was clearly unimpressed with Johnson’s excuse, and her criticism was echoed by many others. Johnson had tried to explain himself, saying he was apologizing for his language and claiming it was directed at himself, not the fans. However, the damage had already been done, and his behavior was widely criticized. Johnson’s weekend hadn’t gotten much better as he shot 3-over on Friday and missed the cut. But it seems like anger issues aren’t exclusive to the PGA Tour. Tyrrell Hatton’s latest meltdown at the 2024 DP World Tour Championship has raised some eyebrows.

The golfer lost his cool and snapped a club in two after missing the green on the 14th hole. And to make matters worse, he also had a bit of a tantrum after missing a short birdie putt earlier in the round. Needless to say, the commentators weren’t impressed, with Ewen Murray calling his behavior a “terrible influence” and Paul McGinley saying it’s “not acceptable.” What are your thoughts on the matter?
