The LIV Golf Invitational Series will begin in just one day on June 9th at the beautiful yet demanding Centurion Golf Club outside London. The field for the opening event of the new tour includes some of the famous names in golf, but Bryson DeChambeau is not part of the Saudi-backed golf league. However, a recent report indicates otherwise.
A report suggests Bryson Dechambeau will play on the LIV Golf Tour

‘No Laying Up’ made a tweet through their official Twitter account on June 8th, 2022, along the same lines. The tweet mentioned that the golf world could expect an announcement later this week regarding the one-time major championship winner teeing it up at the LIV Golf Invitational Series event in Portland.
Moreover, the tweet is talking about the second event on the rival that will take place at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland and is a part of the new tour’s North American swing. The second event of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf league will begin on June 30th and will conclude on July 2nd.

The tweet said, “Expecting an announcement later this week that Bryson will be playing the Portland LIV event.” Not to forget, the American professional spoke about the prospects of playing on the rival golf tour last week, while he played at the Memorial Tournament at the demanding Muirfield Village Golf Club. Dechambeau said, “I’m loyal to my family that I’ve created around me with sponsors and everything. And as of right now, the golf world is probably going to change in some capacity. I don’t know what that is. Not my job to do so.”

He added, “I’m just going to keep playing professional golf and enjoy it wherever it takes me, play with the best players in the world.” But recently we have seen players like Dustin Johnson who earlier pledged to stay on the PGA Tour, becoming a part of the new Tour. How did Bryson play at the Memorial tournament last week?
The 28-year-old professional did not play as well as he expected. He ended the event with an overall score of nine over par. As a result, he missed the cutline with a whopping seven strokes. Moreover, the professional carded a second round of five-over-par, 77 to end his chances of making it through the weekend at the challenging Muirfield Village Golf Club. His final round included two birdies and one bogey on the opening nine holes.
As a result, DeChambeau moved out in one-under-par, 35. He made four bogeys and one double-bogey on the back nine to end his round. On the other hand, Billy Horschel won the event. He ended the event with an overall score of 13-under-par. As a result, the American professional triumphed with a four-shot lead on Sunday.
