Bryson DeChambeau’s move to LIV Golf came as a shock to many fans. He joined the likes of Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and departed from the PGA Tour. Though his contract value with LIV Golf was a secret for many days, DeChambeau has finally given a hint of how much his contract is worth.

The 28-year-old’s signing with LIV Golf was announced a few weeks ago at the Centurion Club. He joined the Tour alongside his arch-rival Brooks Koepka during the opening event of the Saudi-backed series.

Soon after DeChambeau joined LIV Golf, the curiosity surrounding the value of his deal had risen. However, it was guaranteed that his contract was worth more than $100 million.

How much is DeChambeau’s LIV Golf contract really worth?

The 2020 U.S. Open champion revealed last week that he has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract to remain with the Greg Norman-led series. This means he will be playing in the Tour until at least 2026 when speaking to the Country Club Adjacent podcast.

When DeChambeau was asked if the contract was worth $125 million, he reportedly smiled and cracked a joke. He said that it was, “a little low.” He then told the podcast: “I’m not gonna say the details, I mean for what’s reported it’s somewhat close.”

The Scientist further added, “It’s a four-and-a-half-year deal, I can definitely tell you that and a lot of it was up front which is great.” LIV Golf has offered all top golfers a 9-figure contract.

LIV Golf have yet to sign a broadcasting deal that will help them in the reimbursement of the invested money. However, the Tour’s finances are taken care of by the Saudi Public Investment Fund who wouldn’t mind spending more to claim the throne for the No.1 Golf Tour in the world.

Bryson DeChambeau’s contract is undoubtedly huge. With that sort of money, the question arises as to how is he going to utilize it. However, in the same podcast, DeChambeau shared some insight on his upcoming projects.

The 28-year-old said, “What’s cool about it though is that I’ve already put it in places that make sense, whether it’s my foundation or real estate, being able to build a multi-sport complex or taking care of my family, taking care of what we’ve got going on with our content creation with Regecy, numerous other things too.”

DeChambeau, unlike some players, has not resigned from the PGA Tour. He said that it would be “an honor” for him to be able to compete in competitions he has won in the past, such as the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Jack Nicklaus Memorial.
