Bryson DeChambeau is one of the most popular golfers in America. But he hasn’t been able to win a tournament this season because of his injuries, making his fans depressed. However, according to the golfer, the gloomy days are over for him as he sees improvement in his game!

“That was by far the best golf I ever played,” DeChambeau said. He talked about how he considers 2018 as his best season yet after a round at the 150th Open. “I feel like I’m getting back to that position with this new speed, which is great,” he added.

“If I can conquer that and get back to where I can control the golf ball off the tee, just like I want to in those right-to-left winds,” he said. “I feel like I’ll have the opportunity to be close to No. 1.”

The 28-year-old is known for being one of the longest hitters in the world of golf. However, he wasn’t able to hit any bombs recently because of his hip and wrist injuries. After having surgery and enough rest, the video proves that his speed and distance covered have increased.

Furthermore, DeChambeau showed confidence as he compared his present form to the one he had in 2018. Notably, after three rounds at the Open Championship, he is ranked at T18, the highest he has ever reached this season

DeChambeau first played at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in 2018, after which his OWGR rank was 94. He finished off the season by securing a T12 at the Hero World Challenge, after which he ranked 5th on the OWGR!

In 2018, the Mad Scientist played 27 tournaments and won 4 of them, including the Memorial Tournament. Furthermore, his solo second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T3 rank at the RBC Heritage were some of his best outcomes in 2018. Interestingly, he made the cut in all the events he played in that year, except for five of them. 

According to the golfer, he is close to playing as he used to in 2018. Notably, he jumped from 94th rank on the OWGR to 5th in that year, which he considers the best year of his career. However, do you think the 28-year-old performed well in his career?
