Turning childhood dreams into reality takes sheer passion and hard work. Caleb Surratt is a great example of this as the recently turned-pro has been in talks for his performance. Surratt turned pro in January 2024, before that he was making his glory path with great performance in the amateur division. In 2022, Data Golf ranked him as the top amateur in the world.

By the end of his amateur career, he had 4 wins along with 21 top-10 finishes. Just after becoming a pro, he joined Jon Rahm’s team, Legion XIII for which he was grateful. Besides this, he said, “The opportunity to turn pro and be a part of Jon Rahm’s team is truly a special opportunity that is a great fit for me. I’m excited about the chance to compete and begin my professional career here in Mayakoba.”

To make a mark in the professional career similar to the amateur, he uses some of the best clubs while entering the course. With just a year on the course professionally, he has achieved a great average driving distance of 311.9 yards. Currently, for his driving, he is ranked 14th on LIV Golf. To suit his driving style and achieve the distance, he uses the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max driver with the Fujikura Ventus TR 7-X shaft. This driver has a 360° Carbon Chassis, which makes it lighter while helping with the loft and spin of the shot. The driver costs approximately $600.

He even carries a 3-wood with him to make the right move into the fairways. For that, he uses the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke 3 with Fujikura Ventus 8-X shaft. This club is famous for its AI technology for optimizing ball flight and distance. It comes with a carbon chassis for lightweight at just $130. Other than this, he also uses Callaway Apex Ti Fusion 3 in black colour which looks beautiful in photos and real life too. Along with the 3 iron, he carries other irons as well, which come from the Callaway Apex series, respectively. He carries all 4 to 9 irons in his bag. Though as per the course he might rest some of his iron depending on the conditions. The cost of the iron set is approximately $899-999.

Caleb Surratt’s preference for the greens

As part of the team Legion XIII, the pro carries three custom-made wedges from the Callaway. The wedge is named Legion XIII similar to the team with different angles and loft offerings. He uses 50/10S, 54/10S and 60/8C. Along with that, he also carries the Callaway Jaws Raw wedge. Each of the wedges from this series is great in offering spin and bounce as per the short-game scenario. The Jaw Raw wedge costs around $180-200 based on the shaft preference.

With a putting average of 1.61, he uses the Callaway Odyssey Ai-One #7 S putter for his last shot. The putter has a unique design that offers stability and feel with an interchangeable head. This amazing putter cost $300.

The American golfer, with his long journey to unfold, will be looking forward to winning new titles and improving his stats on the course. Currently, he has 3.65 birdies average for which he is ranked 37th. It is just the beginning for the golfer but has impressed fans and fellow golfers with his game.
