Winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions is no easy feat. A tournament played only by champions, it takes a different kind of special to come out on the top. And out of 38 brilliant golfers, Australian golfer Cameron Smith proved to be that kind.

28-year-old Cameron Smith is currently making world headlines. He won the Tournament of Champions with a record winning score of -34. With this victory, Smith has bagged his 4th PGA title.

He defeated the current world no.1, Jon Rahm, in the final round.

Cameron Smith has only one goal now!

Since he won the Tournament of Champions and rose higher in the ranking order, one would think all of Cameron’s goals for 2022 are fulfilled. However, when asked about his goals for the new year, here’s what he had to say.

He said“I think one of the big goals for most of the guys out here is just to make it to Atlanta to the TOUR Championship.”

“If you make it to Atlanta you’ve done something really good for a long period of time. So, yeah, that one’s still a goal.”

Understandably, the ultimate dream of many PGA Tour players would be to take part in and win the Tour Championship. Notably, in what is considered the biggest finish of a season, only a selected 30 players are allowed to play.

Although the prize money is not the biggest attraction of the Championship, it certainly plays its part. The winner of the Tour Championship gets the title of FedEx Cup Champion and a $10 million prize money.

Cameron is off to a good start!

In the interview, he said that although Tour Championship is his ultimate goal, his other goal was to make it to the Top 10.
