Phil Mickelson texted Tom Brady in the middle of the night

Mickelson and Brady were teamed up to play at The Match in 2021. The two had been practicing together for some time to compete against Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers. But Mickelson was well-prepared to “hit bombs” on the field in the game.

Mickelson was very excited to win the match. And he was so thrilled that he also shared his master plan to win with Tom Brady at 3 in the morning. A night before the match, Mickelson emailed a weird yet energizing video to his partner for the event – Brady. It was not clear if Lefty was motivating Brady, or just informing him about his strategies. But he sure looked focused.

Mickelson sent a video of himself driving a car and talking to the camera. He said, “Being aggressive, hitting bombs. Why is that important? Well because you’ve got to hit bombs off the tee! And that’s what I’m gonna do today.” Mickelson’s partner did not expect to receive a video from him at such a time. And so, he decided to share it with the world.

Tom Brady has tons of fans on Twitter. He immediately got on his phone and shared the video with a worrisome caption. He wrote above his video, “Phil emailed me this at 3 AM can someone check on him?”. Fans went crazy and laughed their hearts out after watching the video. However, Mickelson didn’t seem to smile even a little in his bold but funny message.

Mickelson had no strong reactions to Tiger Woods’ statements

After many players shifted to the LIV Golf league, Tiger Woods took the initiative to speak up about the matter. He was concerned about the PGA Tour’s future and said that players “have turned their backs” on the tour. While Mickelson, being the face of LIV Golf, was the one expected to answer back.

But to everyone’s surprise, the LIV Golf player said that he respected Tiger Woods. He added that everyone has the right to share what they feel, and he certainly respected his longtime rival’s opinions.
