In the April of Last year, Spiranac decided to join in on the April Fools Day train with a little joke on her Instagram handle. Since most fans were eagerly asking the former pro golfer to make an OnlyFans account, she decided to give the fans what they want. Or at least that’s what they thought.

Everyone’s always asking me for an OnlyFans. So I’m going to an April Fool’s and say, ‘Swipe up to subscribe to my OnlyFans”, revealed Spiranac in her podcast. However, when the fans swiped up to visit her OnlyFans account, they only got to see the social media influencer in a towel.

Though many understood Paige Spiranac’s humor, some fans weren’t happy about it and ended up reporting the Instagram post. She said, “A lot of people thought it was really funny, I got a lot of angry messages because they didn’t understand it. So I felt like that was who was reporting it”.

Maxim’s 2022 Sexiest Woman Alive further revealed that her joke about creating an OnlyFans account would put her social media account in jeopardy. “You can’t say OnlyFans on Instagram because they’re really strict on that”, added Spiranac. So where further actions were taken by Instagram against the biggest golf social media star?

Spiranac almost faced Instagram suspension

After her post was reported by some of her followers, the 29-year-old claimed to be ‘livid’ and ‘mad’ with her fans. She was unable to log in back to her account, making her think that her account was suspended by Instagram due to the breach of their policy. Spiranac said, “It wasn’t letting me log on, it was so weird. The report said, ‘You can’t solicit s*xual content and you’re reported’”.

Spiaranc addressed how she had never been reported in her past five years of social media influencer career. She ended by saying, “I got really nervous. That’s our business, our main stream of revenue”. Even the biggest entities suffer from the policies of social media giant companies.
