Last year, Korda won the championship, and this year she was able to defend her title by carding 6-under 64 and defeating Lexi Thompson.

But after a roller coaster year, the Olympic gold medalist regained her no. 1 position in the Rolex world golf ranking. I will say this again and again I think that is hilarious that employer claims number one when they absolutely did not win a major this entire year these rankings are a joke
The rankings are over a rolling two-year period, and during that time Nelly has won five LPGA events, including a major, an LET event, and an Olympic Gold Medal, although it isn’t factored into the Rolex World Rankings. No woman has been more successful over the last 104 weeks.
Therefore, fans backed the golfer’s number 1 status.
How did Korda reach number one again?
Korda defended her title on Sunday by winning Pelican Women’s Championship and was drenched in two bottles of champagne post her win. In the final round, the pro golfer finished the game at 14-under 196.

Even though 54 holes shortened the tournament due to Hurricane Nicole, Korda still succeeded. She defeated Thompson by just one shot and reached number one, surpassing Thai teenage golfer Atthaya Thitikul.
