What would you do if you earn $10.7M in your career earnings? That’s a question that can make you think for hours. But that’s because you’re not Charley Hull. The Englishwoman, who has made her fans go gaga by rocking Fendi and YSL, and smoking a cig while signing autographs, is unsurprisingly also a serial shopper. Speaking to Golfweek during her time at the International Crown in South Korea, Hull shared some extravagant details, like the time she spent a staggering $100,000 in just an hour.

“The biggest thing I’ve done shopping … in an hour, I did a hundred grand. Yeah, I did. I bought two Rolex watches and a handbag … for myself. And then I sold them on for more.”

What’s interesting is that Hull is the brand ambassador of Omega watches, not of Rolex. She has often been seen wearing the Seamaster Aqua Terra Master model, which costs somewhere around $9,800. That’s ridiculously expensive, too, but for Hull, a hundred grands is where she tests her limits. And this was not the first time Hull had shopped extravagantly.

Hull loves to treat herself with luxurious brands, especially if she’s able to secure a good finish in a tournament. After her surprising win at the Kroger Queen City Championship (9-under par), where she managed to end the 1,077-day winless drought, Hull’s celebration was rather unconventional. Most players would’ve partied hard or popped a bottle of champagne, but Hull bought a car plate.

“I bought myself a private number plate (license tag). It says, ‘You big dosser.'”

That’s as brash as Hull can get, a cheeky nod to Tyson Fury‘s popular slang. Anyway, if the car number plate is not satisfactory, Hull has also treated herself with bags that might cost you and us a fortune. A T2 finish at this year’s AIG Women’s Open prompted many such buys.

“After the British Open, I got myself a pink Chanel handbag. But I have loads of Chanel handbags. I bought it for Bell’s [Annabel Dimmock] baby shower to match it. I bought this Chanel set five years ago and had never worn it,” she shared nonchalantly.

Quite indeed, her pink Chanel bag was on full display at fellow English golfer Annabel Dimmock‘s baby shower. She had paired it up with a pink tweed cardigan, again from Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, which is priced at approximately $3,245.

This proves that most of her shopping desire emanates from a deep love of fashion that she possesses. She shared that she has a big closet, a walk-in obviously, at both her houses in Kettering and Sundale.

“I’ve got a big closet. I love my closet,” she admitted. “I have two houses. My walk-in wardrobe at my house near Wentworth has all my clothes in there and stuff. I like clothes. I buy stuff and might not wear it for a few years.”

Somehow, she’s not the only one who’s a sucker for expensive products. World No. 2 Nelly Korda has her own collection of designer goods.

Recently, she shared an Instagram mirror selfie donning a Bottega Veneta Mini Wallace bag in black, which retails for a whopping $2,600. She paired this with Nike Jordan 1 Retro Low OG SP Travis Scott Medium Olive sneakers that retail for $725. On the other hand, Lexi Thompson is a car geek. She owns a $180,000 Bentley Bentayga SUV (she’s the brand ambassador) and several other cars from Nissan and a Jeep Wrangler, which are priced comfortably above $100,000.

But not for Hull. As a successful golfer with three LPGA Tour victories, she has accumulated enough wealth in her bank account to buy such products blindly.

Charley Hull sitting on a gold mine?

Of course, to buy any of these items, you need to have millions of dollars in your bank account. And yes, Charley Hull does have it. Her most lucrative year was 2023, when she earned $2.4 million from her wins. Her highest single-tournament payday included a $969K cheque from the US Women’s Open, where she registered a T2 with a 6-under par. Following that was an $828K cheque from the AIG Women’s Open, a solo second finish for her.

The next year, she took home $1.1 M by achieving five top-10 finishes from her 17 starts. She missed only 2 cuts that year. The maximum she earned was at The ANNIKA(T2) — a $229k prize money. And if we talk about this year, Hull has by now earned $1.8 M in earnings. She’s had a tough season, with multiple injuries and illness, but she persevered through. The win at Kroger Queen City gave her a $300k cheque.

The season is still left, and if Hull performs well, including at the International Crown, her closets can expect more lucrative collections in them.
