Charley Hull WITB 2023: Learn All About the Golfing Essentials of the European LPGA Phenom

Charley Hull is paired up with Justin Rose for the upcoming Grant Thornton Invitational. The event is to be played at Tiburon Golf Club from December 8–10. The tournament will be jointly staged by the PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour, returning after 24 years. The event is expected to be closely followed. A good show at the Grant Thornton Invitational will cap off a fine year for the LPGA phenom.

The 2022–23 season wasn’t very productive for the 27-year-old, as she did not win any tournaments on the LPGA Tour. But she bounced back strongly this year, finishing second at two majors—the U.S. Women’s Open and the AIG Women’s Open. And her bag is well-stocked.

Hull is a TaylorMade player and her equipment is supplied by the brand. She plays a TaylorMade Stealth Plus driver with 8-degree loft and an Attas Rockstar 6X shaft fitted to it. As per Today’s Golfer, testing results show that this driver outperforms others by a carry distance of 12 yards. The price range is between $379 and $419.99.

Hull plays a TaylorMade Stealth Plus fairway wood with 15 degrees loft and a Mitsubishi Tensei Blue 70S shaft attached to it. The majority of TaylorMade staff players prefer it, as it helps launch flight shots higher. In the market, it costs between $379 and $449.99.

The LPGA star uses a TaylorMade SIM MAX hybrid with 19 degrees loft, a UST iROD 85 S shaft fitted to it. It is one of TaylorMade’s award-winning hybrids, available for a price range between $179 and $199.99.

Moving on to irons, TaylorMade P7MB irons (4-PW) with Project X 6.5 shafts have been Hull’s choice. The company is known for making some top-class irons, but this is probably the best that they have created. In the market, it can be bought for a price range between $1,149 and $1,485.

Hull plays TaylorMade Milled Grind 3 wedges with three different variants; 50-degree-SB, 54-degree-SB and 60-degree-LB. Modus Tour 120S shafts are fitted to them. The key feature of all three variants is that they help generate maximum backspin. In the market, they can be bought for a price range between $149 and $179.99.

Hull’s putter is TaylorMade Soto TP Hydro Blast, priced at $169.99 in the market. Tests have confirmed maximum face rotation, when in the putting motion.

The golf ball offers consistency

Hull plays a TaylorMade TP5x golf ball. It offers consistency in its flight, covers good distance and is suited for optimal spin from every driver. The golf ball can be availed for around $47.

A total of 16 mixed-pairs will be competing for glory at the Grant Thornton Invitational, a tournament that has a prize purse of $4 million. The Hull-Rose pair will be one of the star attractions.
