The 14-year-old has raised a lot of expectations among many in the golfing world as he aims to carve out his name alongside his father’s in the sport’s history.

LIV Golf Pro’s two sons as potential rivals for Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods

Although Ian Poulter has had a bumpy year of sorts with just a T2 position coming off the Asian Tour: International Series England, Nevertheless, his name has made the news again, with two of his sons showing immense potential on the greens.

In an update on his Instagram handle, the LIV player was seen recording a video of his youngest son, Joshua, on the course. The story shared by the professional shows the young golfer chipping a shot from the roughs to the greens while holing the same. The youthful athlete was more than surprised, if not excited, to find out he made the shot as Poulter’s son came running to his dad.

In another story shared by the 47-year-old, he shared the scoreboard of the Williams Cup qualifying where his son, Luke, is leading the same. Uploading the same with the caption, “This kid… works really hard and is putting some scores together right now,” all the while expressing his pride for the 19-year-old golfer. The teenager is currently at 11 under after two rounds at the forefront of the race, with two more days remaining.

The Poulter duo would likely turn out to be potential rivals of Tiger Woods’ son as they slowly accumulate the accolades that push them onto the right path. Besides, this is not the first time that Charlie has found a likely competitor in Luke.

The LIV pro had tweeted about his son when he made his first tee shot as a Florida Gator at the Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields CC. Although the team could only finish ninth with Luke finding himself at T44, the moment would only turn out to be special for the golfer as he got his first taste of collegiate action in the same.

The teenager’s qualification for the team and the tournament has made him a likely contender against the legend’s son, who himself boasts a number of accolades. The 14-year-old has to his name the title of winner at the Major Championship at Village Golf Course in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, along with a runner-up position with his GOAT father at the PNC Championship in 2021.
