An age-old question that went unanswered has popped up yet again. The battle between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A rocketed after the former introduced its own variant of fried chicken sandwich in the summer of 2019. However, which fast-food chain remains on top is still up for debate.

Recently, Rory McIlroy weighed upon his choice and had pleasant advice for South Korean young talent, Kim Joo-hyung.

Popeyes or Chick-fil-A: What does Rory McIlroy choose?

The Northern Irishman had a fun time with 20-year-old Joo-hyung after the latter interrupted and quizzed McIlroy in his press conference. While he gave him important career advice in front of the lens, the pair chatted later after the presser ended.

When quizzed on the matter that was discussed, McIlroy remained candid. “I know he likes fast food, so I asked him Chick-fil-A or Popeyes and he told me hasn’t had Popeye’s yet,” he said, before revealing his favorite of the two.

“So I’m like no, you’ve got to have Popeye’s, I think it’s better than Chick-fil-A,” he claimed.

Thus, the golfer’s choice was revealed.

While McIlroy has made his pick clear, it will be interesting to see whether Joo-hyung indeed likes the taste of Popeyes better than Chik-A-fil. Interestingly, McIlroy never told whether the young prodigy actually liked what he tasted at Chik-A-fil’s, which will surely be a question on everyone’s lips the next time either golfer sits down for a press conference.
