Paige Spiranac thinks that a player like Tiger Woods is what the golf world needs right now. Although she thinks no players in the present-day deliver what Woods had, one of them had given off a similar feel in the past.

Unlike other young golfers, Koepka has always taken pride in his wins and has never been afraid to show it off. After winning back-to-back PGA Championships, Koepka targeted Dustin Johnson and trash-talked against him to the press. “When I’ve been in this position before, I have capitalized,” He had said to the press then. “I don’t know, he’s (Dustin Johnson) won only one.”
Furthermore, his dispute with Bryson DeChambeau was so much that the golfers ended up playing against each other in Captial One’s The Match.

“I feel like Brooks tried to be this person,” Paige said. She was talking about how the golf world lacks a player like Tiger in her podcast ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee.’

The former golfer explained that Brooks Koepka had the fierce persona with which he tried to dominate his opponent. However, that, too, has faded down. “I would love to see someone like that who’s cocky and doesn’t really care about, you know, the feelings of other players,” she added.

Koepka had that fire in him, which made the golf interesting. However, according to Paige, Koepka lost that energy too. She explained that the competitive spirit in a player is what makes the game interesting. “It elevates the game of other people,” she added.
