However, not everyone has been as lucky as Tiger Woods’ son Charlie. And it’s not just about luck, Charlie has also been working very hard on getting better at golf with each passing day. He recently spoke about how his old man helped him achieve an amazing score at the last chance qualifier in Florida.

Charlie Woods played an amazing round and gave credit to Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods is highly identified for his talent and hard work in the field. And it is not surprising to find out that his son is growing up to be an amazing golfer, just like Woods. Charlie Woods recently shot a beautiful round of 4-under-68 becoming the ‘star of the day’. And his mentor cum father, Tiger Woods was right there to support his son.

In the post-round interview, Charlie answered some questions about how he felt after giving a wonderful performance. It was one of the very few times for anyone to witness such a low round by him. Charlie was at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship qualifying event when he shot a beautiful score with his father as a spectator.

The interviewer asked junior Woods how he managed to play such stellar golf. And the first thing that came out of Chalie’s mouth was “Dad”. He said, “Dad told me to stay patient… play steady golf… focus on each shot, don’t look too far ahead, stay in the game.”

The interviewer continued to ask him about the 15th hole where Charlie was very close to hitting an Albatross. “When I hit it, I knew it was good”, Charlie said.

When asked about how he felt playing with his dad around him and no one else, the boy replied, “That was awesome, you know? I couldn’t have done it without him… He stood me on the right course”

How is Woods’ relationship with his son Charlie?

After getting divorced from his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, Tiger Woods has been trying his best to stay around his kids Charlie and Sam for as long as possible. The golfer once said that the most important thing for him was to spend time with his kids.

Woods also mentioned that he loves playing golf with Sam and Charlie whenever he finds time. And Charlie has been going all the way up in professional golf due to consistent practice with his father. Even Woods’ ex-wife, Nordegren, once said that the golfer is a great father to their children.
