Tiger Woods’ fresh role draws out an honest confession from the PGA Tour Commissioner

For some time now, the PGA Tour Commissioner has been off the scene from his duties. While the reason for the same wasn’t confirmed initially; Jay Monahan, recently, revealed his struggles with his health that urged him to take a step back from the limelight. However, now, the 53-year-old has returned healthy and is determined to fill in the shoes of the PGA Tour Commissioner once again.

His return also brought with it some relief for the golfers including Scottie Scheffler. Expectantly, the news of Monahan’s comeback was met with questions and disclosures regarding the $3 billion merger, since the eminent entity went off the radar right after the alliance made headlines. Highlighting the latest announcement of Tiger Woods’ entry as a board member, Monahan said, “I couldn’t say yes fast enough.”

Furthermore, as he divulged arguably one of his easiest choices, Monahan honestly admitted that Woods had been in this role in certain ways behind the curtains, essentially. To strengthen his statement the Commissioner also added that Woods’ ingress in a leadership role is a “tremendous statement.”
