Interestingly, it appeared that both the golfers and other officials found some solace in this revelation. With many eminent players strongly supporting the decision, the PGA Tour Commissioner also came forward with a rather positive response for the same.

His return also brought with it some relief for the golfers including Scottie Scheffler. Expectantly, the news of Monahan’s comeback was met with questions and disclosures regarding the $3 billion merger, since the eminent entity went off the radar right after the alliance made headlines. Highlighting the latest announcement of Tiger Woods’ entry as a board member, Monahan said, I couldn’t say yes fast enough.

Furthermore, as he divulged arguably one of his easiest choices, Monahan honestly admitted that Woods had been in this role in certain ways behind the curtains, essentially. To strengthen his statement the Commissioner also added that Woods’ ingress in a leadership role is a “tremendous statement.”
