At the press conference after the conclusion of the first round, Danielle Kang was asked to comment on her LPGA Tour journey this season. Since it has not been as per her fans’ expectations. Well looks like the American golfer has a rather optimistic approach toward it. Taking to her spectacular score in the T-Mobile Match Play, she stated, “I shot 5-under today, and that’s — then like I said, no offense, but the end of the story, right? You play good, you play bad, you play bad, you play good. You play great, you win and then you lose.”

The six-time LPGA Tour winner further added that that’s what her perspective is about the game of golf and she has no intention of getting into the details of what is bad and what is good. She would rather look at it in a positive approach. Further in the interview, she was asked about her strategies for the upcoming rounds, to which the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner came up with a rather fascinating answer!

When asked about whether there will be a change in the strategy, the 31-year-old has a rather motivating approach. She does not like to carry things from the past. Danielle Kang believes in starting afresh, and says, “Until you get a new story tomorrow. Then you get a new shot tomorrow and then a new play tomorrow.” However, it is not just the game that has lifted her spirits. Kang is happier to be home!

The T-Mobile Match is played at Paradise in Nevada, Las Vegas; it is also the place that Kang calls home. It is clearly evident that the LPGA pro is elated with the opportunity to prepare for the event at home and is excited to tee off in the presence of her family members, as she stated, “ I get to be home this week, so I’m really happy to be here. It was actually my second week at home, so I’m actually really excited about that. Just seeing familiar faces and having my family and friends come out is really fun.”

When asked what the one-time major winner likes about the course, the 31-year-old, with a wide smile, answered, “This is my home. It’s my home course. It challenges you a lot.” Danielle Kang further expanded on the topic and stated how many people find the course too firm and the format to be challenging. However, the pro does not share the same sentiments as she iterated, “all MGM Resorts wants to do is keep you happy and make us happy and do whatever we want.”
