The 2023 US Open concluded last Sunday with Wyndham Clark taking the $3.6 million title home. Following this major championship, most of the PGA Tour players have moved to Connecticut for the Travelers Championship. However, the LIV golfers have some time on their hands as the next LIV Golf event commences on June 30 in Valderrama.

This provides some room for these golfers to spend time with their families, which usually is a difficult occurrence. Considering that the players are traveling for one tournament or another for most of the year, one such golfer who has been taking advantage of his spare time is Sergio Garcia. The Spanish golfer was caught enjoying fun moments with his family.

The Spaniard has recently been seen on numerous situations relishing quality time with his wife, Angela Akins Garcia and two kids. This content that features the lesser-known side of the golfer is usually shared by his wife. Today, again, something similar happend. As Garcia and his family went out to enjoy a soccer match, his wife caught some precious moments on her camera.

In his Instagram story, Garcia and his daughter, Azalea can be witnessed grooving to the music. As the songs are heard blasting on the speakers, the father-daughter duo are immesered completely into the vibes of the stadium. A little later as Garcia catches the camera once more, he cannot help but move with the music.

Eventually, he prompts Azalea with some Spanish words. To this, Mama Garcia chimes in and asks their daughter to “dance with daddy“. While little Azalea is initially dancing and moving to the song, she eventually gets a little shy. Even Sergio Garcia doesn’t pester her anymore.

This is not the first time the golfer has been captured outside his usual element. Before the US Open, Garcia couple and kids were witnessed enjoying a car ride. Consequently, the most surprising part of the clip was where the 43-year-old was shaking and revelling in the music blasting from the car speakers.

It appears that the Spaniard has adapted an important life principle—to let loose a little. While this year has been far from ideal, Garcia has held on to the rope of positivity and moved ahead. This recent video is a proof of the same. Especially, given how the 2017 Masters champion finished his 2023 US Open.

Garcia’s sub-par performance at the 2023 US Open

On one hand, many LIV Golf players were eligible for the 2023 US Open based on number of exceptions. On the other hand, the Ryder Cup Star was unfortunately not one of them. Only after executing his skills well in the US Open qualifier was Sergio Garcia able to register his name in the 156-man field.

However, as soon as the golfer took the club in his hand at the North Course, he was not able to capitalize his game. This resulted in him finishing at T38 after day two. Fortunately, he did not miss the cut. Although, as the stroke play continued, the golfer tried to improve his game. But, did not succeed in reaching the top 10 at the 2023 US Open.

He, ultimately, completed the third major of the season at 2 above par, tied with two other golfers at 27th berth. However, despite an underwhelming finish to the tournament, Garcia would have likely taken some positives from the game. Especially, considering how the star was not able to participate in the previous major – the PGA Championship.
