Glover is currently in form like never before. Not only did he manage to grab a win at the Wyndham Championship at the beginning of the month, but he also grabbed a win the very next week at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, joining the rare cohort of golfers with back-to-back Tour wins.

With such a stunning recent performance, many are of the opinion that Glover deserves a shot to prove himself in the prestigious, fast-approaching Ryder Cup. However, how does the recent victor feel about this? Well, in the past, the PGA Tour star has opened up about how being on the Ryder Cup team has been his goal for decades.

Ahead of the BMW Championship, he again spoke about his Ryder Cup chances. “I just feel like representing your country as an athlete is the highest honor,” he said. He also finds the team side of the individualist sport of golf to be very fascinating!

Many other golfers have also backed Glover, including Brad Faxon, who has come forward to support the 43-year-old! The PGA Tour veteran had lots to say about why he believed the golf pro should be a shoo-in for the Ryder Cup.

Faxon talked about Lucas Glover, who won two tournaments in a row. He thinks Glover should be in the Ryder Cup team because he’s been playing amazingly. Faxon said it would be a mistake not to pick him, especially after winning. He believes in Glover and thinks he deserves a chance. He said, “If he gets left off the team even after winning two tournaments… the system’s flawed.”

Lucas Glover has been putting very well in the last two events, with an average of 1.7 putts and over 90% of greens hit in regulation. Keeping his recent rise in performance at the back of our minds, arguably it only seems fair that Lucas Glover makes the team and gives his skill to the USA Team at the upcoming Ryder Cup.
