Patrick Cantlay hits back at critics after slow play fiasco

The 31-year-old golfer has now taken a swipe at his critics, revealing a new reason behind the delay. In a press conference ahead of the RBC Heritage event, he shared that Koepka’s group wasn’t the only one that suffered. “I mean, we finished the first hole, and the group in front of us was on the second tee when we walked up to the second tee,” revealed the golfer.

Cantlay, who was a runner-up at the 2022 RBC Heritage event, is a favorite to win this year. Last year, the golfer lost to Jordan Spieth, ultimately walking home with a whopping $872,000 in earnings.
