At the recent press conference in Rochester, the Northern Irish golfer did not seem too keen to flame the LIV Golf controversy. Just like McIlory, the questioner seemed determined to get his answers. Thus, he continued to ask the golfer if he wanted to still speculate on the prospective of LIV Golf. To which the 34-year-old confidently replied, “No.” If this answer was not enough, another query regarding the questions about LIV was put forward. Alas! it was also met with a one-word reply.

The exchange of verbal dialogues between Greg Norman and Rory McIlroy has always been on two opposite ends. However, recently, the Irishman seemed to acknowledge the battle between the two leagues as a ‘silly little squabble‘. In addition to this, the golfer believed that the competition had quite an impact on both leagues. It has pushed the conventional PGA Tour to make some long-lasting changes. Also, he did not dispute the fact that LIV Golf has benefited ‘everyone that plays professional golf at a high level‘.
So, it was obvious for the LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman to comment on Rory’s involvement. After all, the CEO has always strongly taken a stand for his league. He said, “I am glad Rory has recognized that LIV really truly identified how antiquated the PGA Tour was.” Despite such a strong remark and outlook toward Rory, we are not sure if that is what the golfer has identified.
