Not only did he make a birdie at the final hole to prove his talent, but the golfer also marked his first-ever win on American soil. With fans cheering for him at Trump National Golf Club, Varner collected the $4 million winner’s check accompanied by his wife Amanda and son Liam.

According to the golfer, his fans play a huge part in his success. And so, he decided to share his happiness after getting his hands on the trophy on social media. The golf star shared a few remarkable pictures from the tournament on Instagram. And with his son’s picture as the first one among the bunch, he wrote, “Focus on what’s really important and the rest will come 💯”.

The golfer also thanked all his fans for the support they showed towards him throughout the event. And as expected, his followers came forward to congratulate him for his well-deserved triumph. In fact, his LIV Golf buddy from Iron Heads GC, Kevin Na, also sent his wishes over Varner’s big win. “Congrats buddy! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻” the LIV star commented on the champion’s post. While another Saudi player, Eugenio Chacarra, also wrote, “Congrats g!! So happy for you 👏”.

Was there something more important for Varner than winning LIV Golf DC?
As much as he made his family and fans proud with his victory, he also made a personal confession that displayed a rather humble and selfless side of Varner. “Twenty years from now, no one is going to remember who won this tournament, who won any tournament,” the golfer said. “They’re going to remember how you helped them. I’ve always said that. It costs a lot of money to help a lot of people.”
Well, the player is certainly winning a lot of hearts through his acts of kindness via the HV3 Foundation that he runs. And with his statements, Varner simply proved that helping people was more important to him than anything else in the world.
