Zhang’s success goes beyond her individual triumph. Her 19-under score set a new NCAA postseason 54-hole record, surpassing the previous mark by three strokes. In addition, Stanford’s 50-under total shattered the record for the lowest team score ever recorded at NCAA Regionals.

With each achievement, Zhang continues to redefine what is possible in the world of collegiate golf and have a grand impact on the Stanford women’s golf team beyond just her exceptional play.

Anne Walker, the Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women’s Golf, has acknowledged Zhang’s mesmerizing influence on the entire team. Her performances have elevated her teammates’ games, igniting a collective spark that propels the team forward. The 19-year-old’s dedication and excellence inspire her fellow golfers, creating an environment of growth and camaraderie.
