The depth of the grass has left fans concerned, which could effectively result in golfers heckling around the thick bush if their ball lands on the rough. It could also be damaging to the prestigious golf course, which has made the venture into hosting tournaments only recently.

Why has the Los Angeles Country Club prepared such courses?

Inexperience in hosting such events could be a factor in the extended depth of the rough, which could be trimmed after the public outcry on the internet. However, are there other areas of issues around the beautiful course, which was once reserved for the country’s most affluent people?

Indeed, the Los Angeles Country Club has plenty of years under its belt, but not many events to boast for. Set in the luxurious Beverly Hills, this LA course has been a private golf club for large parts of its existence.

Days of hosting PGA Tour events came recently, with its first venture being the 2017 Walker Cup. The club has also agreed to host the 2032 US Women’s Open and the US Men’s Open again in 2039, so expect plenty of action over the years at the course.
